and Sew Work

In Bentley's beginning our work consisted
of custom boat tops, covers, seats and interiors and we worked in the
greater Portland area. Our business was very seasonal. We were always
looking for what we could manufacture to make it through our slower
months. Since we have reached outside our area and expanded our marine
lines and in particular our marine seating the slow season is getting
shorter. We always seem to be looking for things that are not marine
related that we can design (if necessary), cut, sew, and ship. We have
a full time sales person who is dedicated to what we call
project diversification. Our sales staff is always coming up
with different projects for us to bid and build. We
are always learning and growing. |

We have various equipment and craftspeople that would allow us to do
many projects. Just a few examples of what we are
doing now:
- Organ bench pads for an organ manufacturer
- Sleeves to rubber gloves for sandblasting equipment
- Mail bags for interdepartmental mail for a school district
- Computer covers for a computer company
- Heavy-duty divider curtains for mills and fabricators
- Golf cart enclosures for golf car distributors
- Utility trailer covers for utility

We have also done business with the local bus and light rail, zoo, county,
city, state and armed forces. The
needs of individual companies are varied. We are ready for challenges,
